Performer displays an attractive velvet bag, and drops a lit match inside. Flames leap out of the bag. The bag is closed, and ripped open and a live dove flies out.
You can use this as a dramatic visual effect by itself, or blend it into a routine of quick tricks. For example performer walks on to stage with a bag in one hand and a lit torch in the other. Torch is held near the bag which burst into flames. At the same time the torch transforms into a cane, Flaming Torch To Cane. The bag is shut to put off the flame, then ripped open and dove flies out.
Assistant walks on to stage with a box, Flip Over Box and dove is placed in box and vanished. This is just one suggestion, and the imaginative performer will obviously find others to suit his taste. Even as a trick by itself it is a very effective item.
